Mombasa refers to the second largest city in Kenya which lies on the shores of the Indian Ocean. It is home to the Mombasa International Airport as well as a major regional export and import port. The city is also the centre for the coastal tourism industry. Additionally, there is an off-road buggy as well as a bobcat which one can hire. There is a family friendly restaurant that comes complete with free computer games, an expansive playground and garden as well as a life size screen to watch sporting events. The Mombasa Tusks are a favorite tourist attraction and were built in the year 1952 as a commemoration of the visit by Queen Elizabeth on her Kenyan safari. The tusks are located directly from the port and they intersect to spell the letter “M” for Mombasa. The tusks are located at the centre of town where most banks, markets, shops and hospitals are located. There is also a large number of mosques in Mombasa. Some of these include the Mandhry Mosque which dates back to the year 1570, the Basheikh Mosque which dates back to the year 1300, the Bohra Mosra of 1902 and the Baluchi Mosque which dates back to the year 1875.
