The Helf Hof Heimatmuseum refers to a farmhouse that is found in Sevinghausen district and which dates back to the mid sixteenth century. It is now the Watenscheider Heimatmuseum which features among other things craft tools, documents and furniture. Lake Kemnade is a manmade lake that is as a result of a dam on the River Ruhr. It is a popular regatta course and boating harbor. The other attractions around Oberhausen include the Municipal Museum in Bochum which consists of an outlook vantage tower as well as a TierPark.
