Karup is today one of the land areas in the Viborg municipality of northern Denmark. Earlier it was a municipality of its own. Tourists come here in large numbers to spend quality time in the lap of nature, as the area is close the Baltic Sea and the North Sea, making it breathtakingly beautiful.
