Car hire Murcia information
Murcia is located in southeast
Spain, approx. 30 km from the
Mediterranean cost. Just under 420,000 people live here at a relatively high population density of 470 inhabitants per km². Many of those living in Murcia are students, making the city one of Spain’s largest university towns. The region around Murcia is among the driest and warmest in Europe. In summer temperatures can reach 50 degrees Celsius. At such heat it’s a good idea to quickly get to nearby bathing resorts and coastal towns such as Alicante or Torrevieja by hired car. And those that choose to stay in the city will still find quite a bit to see. In addition to many well-preserved churches, the Cathedral is well worth a visit. This does also apply for Monteagudo hill, the location of an ancient Roman castle and a statue of Christ. Murcia has good connections to a variety of motorways. This gives you the chance of heading off on a small hired car tour from here. Then it’s no problem to visit cities such as Malaga,
Valencia or even
Madrid.
