The port city of Zadar lying on the southern
Mediterranean coast of
Croatia has approx. 83.000 inhabitants and is over 2,200 years old. There is a ferry harbour with links to
Italy and an airport. A large part of the old city has been preserved in Venetian architectural style. As part of a city tour by hired car you should also visit the Main Guard building, the Fountain Square and the many churches in Zadar. Zadar has a good link to the Croatian motorway network. The advantage of this is that cities such as Pula, Rijeka or Zagreb can be reached by hired car in a relatively short time.
